Apo Torosyan has shown his works all over the U.S., Canada, and Europe, in museums, colleges, universities, and art institutions. He is known for his “Bread Series”, however he also does printmaking works that use historic photos and documents from earlier times in Turkey. Apo was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, the son of an Armenian father and a Greek mother. He lost many family members in the Armenian genocide of 1915, and this historic tragedy influences his work. Apo emphasizes, however, that his message is universal, and is not one of hate but of peace and hope.

The Holocaust Center Boston North, Inc. also has Apo’s 30 minute video in their video library, available upon request.
