The Holocaust Center, Boston North Inc. is pleased to announce that reservations
are being accepted for an important conference on Genocide for educators, clergy,
public officials, media, police, and the general public on March 18 th, 8:00AM-
The day will focus on A CALL TO ACTION: PREVENTING GENOCIDE IN OURTIME. Participants will explore the historic precedents established from the Holocaust and then examine how they have been applied to more recent acts of genocide. The goal of the conference is to provide tools for the individual person to confront modern acts of genocide and ultimately ways to try to prevent genocide.
Highlighting the day will be presentations from three survivors of genocide: ERNEST
RUGWIZANGONGA, Rwanda, SMAJL CENGIC, Bosnia, and SONIA WEITZ, the Holocaust. US Army
soldiers, ROSEGOULD and BEN MAILOT, will discuss the aftermath of genocide, peace-
A morning panel will feature a panel with DR CHRISTOPHER MAURIELLO, Salem State on Nuremberg Precedents; DR. PADRAIC O’HARE, Merrimack College on A MoralFramework for Justice, and ALLAN A. RYAN JR., former US Dept. of Justice Office of Special Investigation on Coming to Terms with Justice.
Harvard Law School PROFESSOR MARTHA MINOW will give the keynote presentation, Between Vengeance and Forgiveness.
